I was just listening to a lot of old christian songs when i chance upon how great is our God again by Christ Tomlin. i decide to just plug the earpiece into my ears and close my eyes and just let the music flow and enjoy the spirit as it linger in me and make me feel at ease. i realise i am getting addicted to this feeling. at times when we are busy, its good to calm down, take a look at your surrounding, take the whole imagine in and enjoy. listen lightly as God speak to you. Our God of infinite. one which is beyond our comprehension and one who is humble enough to give his life for us. one of such love. love ya God. hugssss

on display for all to see.

he indeed was on display for all to see. his love was in full form of human and God. that 100% man 100% God is Jesus himself. a symbol of love. even many famous human character that become symbol of love like mother theresa ultimate give this glory to God. for he is the real symbol of love. who can be known as sinless, put on display to take on all the sins and strip for us. who is willing to take the nail for us knowing he is not to be blame that he is sinless yet willingly take the nail for us. that is the symbol of love for all to see. let just look back slowly at our life. what was it that brought us into church and stay on. isnt it the love display through the different members, the atmosphere of the church, full of his love and glory. this is our God. the God of love grace and mercy. all for his glory in Jesus name amen

i decide to use the lyric of forever reign to write some post. cause every sentence mean something about how great God is and what he meant to us.

the above 2 verse i guess tell us a lot of God nature and how only God himself is the only good person and for us its only through him we are good.

good in latin has the word bene, and in hebew tov mean good.

i guess bene the word itself is always highly associate with good word like benefit and so on.

conclusion, with God all thing will be good and beneficial.

Its 3am at night, i look gently up toward the sky, saying a prayer hoping you would speak to me. all i heard was a loud silence. i gently calm down my heart, close my eyes and say another prayer, hoping to see you in the luminous darkness of my world. feeling sad i walk away not knowing what to do. i look at the star and wonder who hang them. i look at the cloud and wonder who fluff them up like a marshmallow.

Suddenly a gentle breeze blow, what i feel was warmth instead of coldness, there i realise you were all along within my midst, walking step by step, holding my hands, ready to catch me when i fall, ready to hug me when i am cold, ready to carry my burden when its too heavy.

Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, but behold, my promise to you my child, i have prepare you for a greater destiny.

On teamwork...

A leader cannot function as a one-man team. Often the leader will have his right-hand man who will be there to support, and criticize at times, the decisions the leader makes.

On loyalty...

"It doesn't matter if we get played with. Our job is to be there for him."

On letting go...

If that is what is best for your followers, let go. As a leader you cannot become overly possessive. If you know that your followers will benefit more under the care of someone else, let them go.

On expertise...

Everyone of us contributes in different ways. Each of us can do something which others cannot and our talents will be called for in times of crisis.

On unity...

It is better to face a crisis hand-in-hand than to fight for your own survival.

On what's important to you...

We will come to a point in life where we will have to define what is most important to us. How do you attach value to what is important in your life? What criteria will you use?

On betrayal...

Let them go. Do not seek revenge.

On imagination...

Everything is possible. There are no laws and rules in your world of imagination. Dream wild. Get a feel of what it is like to accomplish the impossible. Get a feel of your future there.

On improvisation...

Be creative. Think out of the box. Go for the crazy ideas.

On planning...

A detailed plan is necessary for staging a miraculous escape. Success do not come automatically, it is always orchestrated and faithfully executed. Your performance is determined by the depth and breadth of your plans, together with your flexibility for change and creativity for improvisation.

was just thinking of all my problem and realise that i should let the future worry about itself. this post was suppose to be for Faith Eleora but then again it may just apply to any of us. thou not many should be reading this blog but an update is still a must as much as i can. i was walking past a funeral near my block at one of the void deck when this thought came into my mind.

was this going through Jesus's mind when he was in prayer at mount of olives at Gethsemane? when he was sweating blood, was it fear going through his thought on goin upon the cross. after that fear was what lead to faith and obedient when he mention if this cup is not allow to be taken from me then let your will be done trusting in what God decision. after that its went on to lead to Jesus's sacrifice on the cross. this sacrifice is the ultimate symbol of love from Jesus to us knowing he die for us taking all our sins away.

Fear->Faith->Obedient->Sacrifice->Love

ok guys, we are back to sat service, see you guys around there. this week cell is on fri at evelyn side. i think everything as per normal. attendance is optional, well you guys make it look like it optional most of the time thou. lols.

another message for the day, i realise human are full of changes, everyday we will get to see human adapting to new situation and changes be it whether they want it or not. so my dear cell grp members, we have to adapt to changes in life be it we want it or not at times even against our will, its is also in your own will to choose to take action to reverse the changes back to your comfort zone if its possible or go with the flow if you think that the changes is beneficial to you. At the end of the days through-out all this changes and etc going on. God is and should still be the no. 1 priority to seek for the action to work toward the changes. Be it through the bad or good times, trust in the decision you made together with the Lord and he will tide you the whole situation. Do not lose faith and do not be tempted by the Devil along the way for the more benefit the changes bring, the bigger the barrier Devil will try to create against you. its seem like millions of years that the cell blog have been updated, i decide to update it almost everyday if possible even if its take up some of my precious time lols. God is never above my precious time cause he created it (: i guess not much people will be reading this post too but nevertheless God bless it.

I was on the car today with my colleague today, suddenly he start to talk about the topic of church and Christianity even thou he was a staunch Buddhist. he start to question me about the church and their action and all the recent saga and after that he start to share with me about his view of the church and how he have a bible. he also share with me that whenever he pass by a christian shop he can't help it but enter the shop and buy something out. so i guess i started to share with him the gospel and he seem receptive. amazing, within himself he was questioning himself alot, he say that his circle of friend would not accept him if he become a christian, he find that he too old to be a christian and many other objection that come to his thought. slowly i kind of answer all his query and praise God, he was so open to the very extend he was willing to come with me to church to see how its like again giving Jesus and chance to enter his heart. I guess this may just be one of the random story that happen in our daily life but i never expect that thou i was praying in his car prior to starting work at novena, i ended up doing God's work in his car.

just a moment ago, i was speaking to one of my ex-student asking her when will she be free to come church since its the holiday, amazingly she agree and say 26/6 she will be free, i m so awaiting for it to happen. praise God for all that is happening. this are all the thing that happening to encourage all of us that even in all situation God can make a way thru if u do his work.

All of us have our own jobs, be it study or work, we also have our own problem, be it relationship or work issues. Even as devil stack all his odd against us, remember that Jesus is carrying the weight with you, he is sharing the pain together with you. He already suffer what you have suffer, that why he the alpha, leading as the foundation ultimately dying for your sins. Let us always be reminded why he have to hang upon that cross. I know alot of us are now at the crossroad not knowing what to do about our situation, similar do i feel the same. But i hang on, push on, knowing that the author and finisher of our faith have been intercepting for us, reducing our pain, giving us what we can endure to mould our character for his greater glory. All this problem, my friend, will ultimately lead you to someone who is greater. remember patient and endurance is a virtue. endure it out and be patient, its will make you more christ-like that all i have for supposely God and the cell(thou i doubt any is reading anymore)

Sacrifice is a central theme in the Christian faith.
Abel: Faith is a sacrifice .
(Gen. 4:5-1a; Heb. 11:4)
Heb. 11 is a chapter about faith.
Faith and sacrifice are related concepts.
We give only to the degree of faith that we have.
Don’t give your loose change to God.
Faith is giving your best to God.
Abel may have been dead but his faith still speaks to this day.
Great talent without faith has no impact.
Abraham: Love is a sacrifice .
(Gen. 22:1-5, 11-14, 16-18)
God is a great teacher such that He never set a test to fail you.
He set the test to make you stronger.
When you think that you’ve achieved your dream, God always has something more.
There is no such thing as a final miracle that God will do for you.
Gen. 22:2 à First time “love” is mentioned in the Bible and it is linked to sacrifice.
There is no true love without sacrifice.
“Moriah” means vision.
Vision, like faith, also requires a sacrifice.
Without a sacrifice, you will never see your vision coming to pass.
This is also the first time where God’s covenant name is revealed and it has got to do with provision.
The word “provision” literally means I see.
God sees when the sacrifice is there.
David: Worship is a sacrifice .

David refused to take the land for free.
He understood he’s not just building a hose for a mortal king.
The house for the Lord must be significant.
He could use the gold and silver in the treasury to build God’s Temple but he gave it out of his own account.
1 talent of gold is half-a-million US dollar.
The church is not just for the members, it’s for God.
Our giving speaks of our affection for God.
Our giving speaks of our consecration to God.
A steward is a treasurer, manager, re-distributor.
Once you understand that you are a steward of God’s money, you will have no problem in giving to God.
Whatever you have is the blessing of God on loan to you.
Jesus Christ: Salvation is a sacrifice .
(Heb. 12:2)
At Calvary, Jesus got a vision and that gave Him the courage to endure the cross.

Zechariah and Elizabeth. Feeling frustrated over unproductiveness in life.

“Your prayer is heard”

Zechariah is a man of prayer.

If you feel barren and directionless, start praying.

Mk 11:24 à Your prayer is not complete until you can receive in your heart what you are believing for.

Zechariah couldn’t believe what he has been praying for has come to pass.

If you want to have the new wine, you need to have the new wine skin first.

4^th dimension living. (Thinking à Vision and dreams à Faith à Confession)

You become what you think.

Through those 4 channels the prayer of faith becomes reality.

The angel has to shut Zachariah’s mouth because negative words can kill the miracles of God.

Catching Hold Of A Vision That Enlarges You

1. God speaks to us through visions.

Hab. 2:1 à “to watch what He will see to me.”

With the wrong vision we will build wrong things, things that will fade away.

That is why we must get God’s vision and not our own vision.

Lot’s wife had a vision for her past.

A heart for the past destroys you.

2. Set yourself in the right place to receive the vision.

Hab. 2:1 à “I will”

God did not force Habakkuk, he stood on the watchtower himself.

A watchtower is a high ground.

Spiritually it speaks of prayer.

Jos. 1:7-8

All the time you must be speaking forth the vision.

How committed are you to the vision?

You should eat, think and sleep on the vision.

When we are impregnated with a vision, we will carry it until fruition.

Get into action.

3. God’s vision enlarges you.

Small vision never inspires.

A small man is made up of small thoughts.

You are small not because of your stature, you are small because of your vision.

Gen. 9:27

Always think about enlarging.

Ex. 34:23-24

When leaders are no longer willing to dream, it’s only a matter of time before followers are unwilling to follow.

Things we need to do in 2010:

1. Enlarge your thinking.

Thinking means to perceive with the mind.

God knows that He cannot move until we move.

God get us excited to act by giving us a vision.

If we don’t have any fresh vision we will not move to the next level.

We are not great because we are able to conceive the vision. The vision is by the grace of God.

Allow God to stretch your imagination and your thinking.

2. We must enlarge ourselves personally.

In the bible we are often presented with contrasts.

To enlarge yourself is to say no to something and yes to something else.

In leadership: not laws but liberty.

Rules stifle creativity.

A leader must let people feel secured to work as a team.

Life off the glass ceiling and the people are able to flourish.

Serving: Not hierarchy but heart.

Matt. 20:25-28

You will get a promotion when your peers support you and love working with you.

Ability: Not self-centred but spirit-centred.

2 Cor. 12:19

If you want to experience the power of God, you’ve got to sometimes put yourself in a very weak position.

Discipline: Not legalism but love.

People respond better to love than legalism.

Care.

Creativity: Not fear but faith.

In an environment of fear there is no creativity.

Work: Not duty but devotion.

Duty will only take you where you need to go.

Hey guys, this is Faith Eleora here.
First time blog in cell group blog, cos its kinda dead now.

so okay, hi cell.
Estelle is flying off to Perth this week, cell group meeting will be at Evelyn's house as usual, 8.30pm this Friday.
Euzanne will be coming over :)

& also, Estelle wants me to write how much i love the cell group.
i think the cell sucks actually, HAHA JOKING! =D
cell group is good, is a place where we can come together to pray and praise God. And also Cell group is made up of many different kind of peoples, thus we learn how to accept one another, from that we can also grow mature in our character, learn to be more forgiving and patient. I hope we will stay united, because the place of agreement is a place of power :)

The year is coming to the end soon, it's time to think of new goals for next year!!!!!

CHECK OUT SUN'S LATEST SINGLE "FANCY FREE"

My first impression of the MV was that, : 'WOW, Sun looks so evil!!'

felt very challenged by pastor kong's message.

praying that the hurts that i caused in others during the times that i flippantly said something with no intention of carrying them out can be healed by god.

and the realisation that it's the smallest things that cement or cut or a friendship aches my heart too. bcos too often, we forget this fact and hurt the people around us unknowingly and in pastor kong's words, 'pretend nothing has happened'.

when we say 3pm, do we disappear from earth and appear only at 3.15pm?
do we not turn up when we said we would?
do we mean it when we said we would return the call?

let us all rise up to this challenge, and become people with such steady character that others find so easy to trust. =)

Hi Guys, this is my entry 2, where I will be giving certain tips on what should you do before you enter an exam hall:p. Indeed its the most nervous time, some of us will keep flipping notes, some of us will feel dead due to the burning of the midnight oil, while some of us may suffer panic attacks just before we enter the exam hall. So what should we do really?

If you find really got to remember one thing from this post..remember this

TIP 2: Confidence!!!

2 Timothy 1:7 - For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Yes, there was once a soccer coach who said this to his dispirited team, "In everything, in life, you need confidence, and right now, if the players get the confidence, I'm sure they will perform".

If you are feeling down and out, and not having a single belief that you can handle the exam ahead of you..guess what, all the more you need the confidence just before entering the exam hall.....

"But I didn't study le...."

Well being nervous will just make you forget the basic things that you have learnt. 有信心已经是成功的一半。。。So be confident no matter what. But confidence isn't just something you say, it's something you build

So then the question comes...how to build that confidence before entering the exam hall?

Here are some of the steps that I take to build my confidence before entering the exam hall and during the exam and after the exam.

a) Organize and put what you've learnt neatly into a few pages of notes. Don't learnt new things before entering the exam hall. This is especially true 1 hour before the exam. If you try to learn new things, you will put in a lot more effort to try and memorize it. The result is you will usually forget what you have learnt previously and remember what you learn one hour before the exam instead...

So what you need to do is to recall what you've learn and not to learn new things. So you become very clear headed about what've you learn and hence you would not be nervous.

b) Tell yourself, whatever you've never learnt, it would never come out. Usually its true:p unless you totally never study at all.....

c) Reach the school early, for the N levellers, know your seatings. Being 15-30 mins early helps to settle you down and prepares your for the battle ahead.

d) When you start doing the exam paper, don't start doing blindly. Instead, scan through the paper and look through the questions!. Look for the easy questions and do them first. Once you can solve some questions, it builds confidence in you.

e) If the paper's really tough for you, it will be tough for others do:p. Don't have ideas like "Why am I so stupid, cant do these question" and all sorts of thing. You just need to skip that question.

f) Check exam paper, if possible, for the last 15 mins. (For questions you know, you should have completed them, for questions you have no answer to, staring at them would not help, might as well check your answers to prevent any careless mistakes)

g) After the exam, don't discuss the answers.....no one has the answer sheet, save your breadth and go home and sleep. If you want to relax, you can go out and have a good lunch with friends.

h) Lastly, don't think about the questions on the exam paper that you've completed because most likely, you have another paper ahead of you. Focus on the next paper. You do not want your confidence to be sapped away by your previous paper!

Well I think I have give enough suggestions for this entry. Just wanna say that certain simple things, like arriving early, scan the exam paper and do the easy ones first, convincing yourself that what you've learn will come out for exams are simple steps, that can make you more confident during the exam:p

So be confident and again I say to you, be confident!!!

Hey guys, at the request of our dear cg leader, I have decided to put up this entry to help all the students who are taking exams. It is indeed stressful....but definitely we can come out of it victorious!!!

So the first thing that I did was to find out ...WHY WE FAIL..I msned a few of my friends ans ask then why did they fail their test and I realize the number one reason was....

Number 1: They just weren't prepared for it.....

Sounds so simple but yet so true...we failed because we fail to prepare for it. So here are a few tips that I am giving you guys, my "secret manual" muahahahaha....

TIPS 1: Study hard is study smart...

Ever had the experience where you?

I spend hours studying, but so sian, nothing went in lo...
I just keep writing the notes but I don't know what Im writing
I studied but the things never came out...

Usually, you hear people say, "you need to study smarter" but I can tell you this..studying smarter is studying harder!!!

People who study smart do study very hard...just that they get maximum effect from whatever they are studying while others may not.

So then what is the smart way then????? I realize this "smart way" is a very cliche word without people actually telling one another what is smart. So here are the few things you can do.

a. What topics are to be tested

b. What are the important tips that you teacher gave but you never catch(good friends are very helpful here..especially studious and nerdy ones:p)

c. Ask your teachers, wait for them after lessons if neceesaary and ask them questions(Duh, they are the ones who set the paper, they can give you the most valuable tips, you just need to pester them...like the woman in the bible who pester the judge. Tust me, they will budge..)

d. find you what are your best topics,

e. Spot questions, but study everything. So that you will be able to answer everything that comes.

f. Test yourself constantly(Are you able to explain the science la, history la or anything without your textbook at your hand) If you can, you are pretty prepared. Because exam is not testing your understanding only...they are tesing if you still can understand without your textbook at hand.

Ok, that shall be all for today...I shall break it up into a few tips and not give everything one shot so that it will be more easier for you guys to read...:p

How Many Balloons Would It Take To Lift a House?
The physics of Pixar's Up.

In the new Pixar film Up, a crotchety old man named Carl ties thousands of balloons to his house and proceeds on an awesome flying adventure to South America. This left several Explainer readers wondering: Just how many balloons would it take to lift a house?

Between 100,000 and 23.5 million. The lower figure comes from the Wired Science blog, which took a crack at the calculation last week. After consulting with a house mover, Wired estimated that Carl's home in Up would be about 100,000 pounds. (Most houses weigh between 80,000 and 160,000 pounds.) Given that 1 cubic foot of helium can lift 0.067 pounds, it would take 1,492,537 cubic feet of helium to lift the house—or about as much as would be contained in 105,854 balloons, each 3 feet in diameter.

This figure doesn't account for the weight of the balloons themselves, however. A 3-foot latex balloon—which is bigger than your average party balloon but smaller than the ones used in the extreme sport of cluster ballooning—might weigh about 1 ounce. So 105,854 of them would add 6,615 pounds to the weight of the house. The weight of the strings also needs to be taken into account. (A Wired Science commenter estimates that "non-optimal rigging" would require about 1,800 pounds of rope.) The Wired piece noted that it would take more balloons to lift Carl's house above the cloud cover, but according to experienced cluster balloonists, that's not necessarily true. If the balloons are made out of an elastic material like latex and haven't been fully inflated beforehand, they'll expand as they rise into the thinner atmosphere, which should keep the house rising steadily.

If Carl were trying to use regular old party balloons to fly his house, he'd need a whole lot more. A typical party balloon—11 inches in diameter, with 26 inches of curling ribbon—can lift 4.8 grams, or about 0.17 ounces. Assuming these flimsier balloons could withstand the strain—and not counting the extra string that would be involved—it would take more than 9.4 million balloons to lift Carl's house.

Meanwhile, Up co-director Pete Docter recently told Ballooning magazine that technicians at Pixar estimated it would take 23.5 million party balloons to lift a 1,800-square-foot house like Carl's, though it's unclear exactly what size balloon they were using to make their calculations. (In the film, the animators used 20,622 balloons for the liftoff sequence, but most of the other floating scenes have just 10,297.)

These figures all assume that Carl's house is simply being lifted off the ground. In the movie, however, Carl's house rips free from its foundation, which would likely require a dramatic increase in the number of balloons needed. (Consider that in a storm situation, shifting a house clean off its foundation requires wind speeds of around 120 mph, which is what you'd find in a Category 3 hurricane.) Plus, if the cluster were big enough to have that much lifting force, the house wouldn't leisurely float away after being unmoored, as it does in the film—it would shoot off like a rocket. Another physicist has taken issue with the manner in which the balloons were deployed in the film, noting that Carl didn't seem to have factored in the need for an anchor to keep the house weighed down until he was ready to unleash his balloons.

Bonus Explainer: Is it legal to set off in a flying house? Not without the proper certification. Most cluster-balloon systems, which carry a solo flier in a harness or chair, are considered ultralight vehicles, like hang gliders or para-gliders. Under Federal Aircraft Regulations, the pilots of these vehicles must follow certain rules, such as flying only during daylight hours and staying out of particular airspaces. But Carl's house would clearly surpass the 155-pound cutoff for unpowered ultralight vehicles, which means he'd need to have his house certified as an airworthy experimental aircraft by the Federal Aviation Administration. Inspectors would probably use guidelines designed for "manned free balloons" to determine whether Carl's house was safe for American skies.

At this point we should all pause and reflect on one of my favorite human beings, Lawn Chair Larry. Larry, who hailed from Long Beach, California, got the idea of attaching a few balloons to a Sears Roebuck aluminum lawn chair and hovering over his back yard to impress his sweetie. So he gathered the necessary equipment (a sandwich, a few cans of Miller Lite, and a b.b. gun so he could eventually shoot out some balloons to get back down). Larry's only problem: although he originally intended to use smaller balloons, he got such a great deal on a bunch of USAF weather balloons that he couldn't pass them up, and maybe he forgot to do the necessary math. Result: he shot up like a big ass bird and got up to something like 14,000 feet, plunk dab in the middle of LAX traffic lanes. Fortunately before he rose to an altitude where anoxia would have nailed him or got creamed by a jet liner, Larry had the presence of mind to use the b. b. gun. Of course when he eventually landed there was a large committee of cops waiting for him, and he got in a world of trouble, but he went down in history as a true American folk hero. The FAA's legal definition of a balloon chair as a light aircraft, mentioned in the bonus explainer, was very likely written in his honor. I understand that a few months ago some of his fans celebrated the twentieth anniversary of his feat with repeat efforts: one guy made it from Oregon into Idaho, but a less fortunate Brazilian priest took off in his chair, was evidently blown out to sea, and has never been seen again.

If we would in everything always remind ourself of him and his action, we will not find it hard to cross our trial and tribulation we are walking, we would not learn to glorify our own action but humble our act as his.

as i grow up more and more learning how to humble myself and i look at those kids in the street, those brought up with great discipline, great is their ability to humble themselves but at time their self-esteem is on the low side cause they learn not to humble everything to the extend they suffer from low self-esteem, thus learn to humble yourself yet at the same time know yourself, know where you stand before God, have a self-confident in yourself that he love you and have prepare your life to be good, it sound hard, but ultimately that where all our path wil lead to where we wil be conform to his image. Gd luck on this journey to each and everyone of us. (:

even as i am jumping around the room with fever at 38.o degree to the beat of Sing Sing Sing and Your lifted me up, my head is going dizzy, i have a feeling i wil faint anytime. But still i will give praise to him, still i wil blast my itunes, still i wil hit on the string on my guitar till my hand holding down the guitar string is telling me to stop cause it hurts. Even as i sing, my temperature drop and it still droppin, it have since drop to 37.4, i am in a safe zone but still i am coughing like crazy, my voice came out like some out of tune radio, it sound so bad, and i started crying, cause i don't want to not be able to sing his praise, i don't want to be able not to sing, so i started screaming be it how aweful it sound, droplets of tears slowly fall onto my guitar as i play This is our God. This is the God i know for more then 5 years, have he fail me before, no he havnt, have i been disappointed in him, have i lose faith in him, yes my human mind and heart fail him many times, yet time and time he make himself so real. even when i screw up half my life away, making people angry wif me, yet i know even when all else fail, even if my friend would to abandon me, he would still embrace me, cradle me in his hand, comforting me, softly speaking gentle word of assurance into me, telling me he have never give up on me, he is with me yesterday, today and forever.
Even as i type this post up, i cant help it, tears keep flowing down, if i would to try to remember all the goodness he done for me, i can't count, true to his words.

When all of us feel down thinking of all the obstacles ahead of us, our O or N level coming up or the friendship and family problem we have, why not look back, look at all the promises he made to you, have he deliver every single of it. Be it the small one or the big one, have he ever fail in delivering you from the hardest of problem, tide you across the hardship when you think all else have fail and nothing else can be done, his mighty hand appear and get you out of the situation. Many of the non-christian out there may attribute it to luck, to their idolatry, surely we all know better, who change the tide for us, who upon hearing our cry tend to our needs, protecting us fr every direction, sending his angels to wrap their wings around us. this post seem random, but let be reminded again of the love he have for us, the promise that he fulfil time and time again, let give him praise be it how terrible we feel, be it we just get dump, we just finish a tiring day of work, or having being sick till we are stuck in bed, still we wil shout his praise. PRAISE YOUR NAME, GLORY IN THE HIGHEST.

i was especially inspired by Sandra, miss indonesia 2008.
that's my favourite part of the concert. =)

last week during service, i was brought to remembrance my journey in god.
jus wanna share with you some of the 'visible' milestones of my life in god.

16, served 4days a week in children's church until o levels prelims (that was a blast of a time!)

17, backslided for a month, came back cos i realised i couldnt live without god!

18, started TJC prayer group, and there, found my bestfriend (she's still my bestfriend.lol)

19, served in usher ministry(i joined cos the spirit of excellence of the ushers impressed me tremendously), baptism(against all odds!!), gave my first bible study(i think my student was gwen. gwen, was it?)

there are many ways to live one's most precious time of life.
i'm so glad god found me as a youth,
and i live through the days of my youth in the house of god.
about everything in life will fade away,
we need to invest in what will stand the test of eternity.

well, while the exact years and months speak of specific milestones...
more importantly, the past 9years been a journey of finding myself in god, getting issues of my heart sorted out, failing and falling, experiencing the realities of a faithful, merciful and loving god.

i thank god i didnt die on that occasion that i almost did.
i thank god that the 2 accidents that landed me in hospitals had no long-term effects on me.
i thank god that he pulled my dad away from death (heartattack).
i thank god my A level results were good enough for my dream school and dream course.
i thank god he healed my used-to-be perpetual over-sensitive nose.
i thank god he pulled me out of my dark and lonely world.
i thank god that he fulfilled my dream of becoming a teacher.
i thank god for a family that's increasing in its love for one another.
i thank god for daniel, the best brother in the world.
i thank god for lilian, the sweetest bestfriend in the world.
i thank god i have a purpose in this life.

The Place Of Agreement

Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. Acts 4:32

The Jerusalem church in Acts was very powerful because those in the church were of one heart and one soul in their vision for the kingdom. Jesus says, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven” (Matt. 18:19). The place of agreement is the place of power. Conversely, the place of disagreement is the place of powerlessness.

Every principle in the Word flows out of the character and nature of God. Although God is a triune God-Father, Son and Holy Spirit-He is always in total agreement with Himself. All three members of the Godhead are forever in unity. God wants the same in His relationship with you. If you delight yourself in Him, which means to be in agreement with His will for your life, He will give you the desires of your heart (Ps. 37:4).

In a church, God wants unity in your relationships with others. When there is one vision, there will never be division. There will be no confusion or weakness in the camp. Psalm 133:1-2 says, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments.” The anointing of God can flow mightily in a church where members dwell in unity. So great was the unity in the Jerusalem church that awesome power for miracles and financial provision was released (Acts 4:33-34).

In the days of Babel, “the whole earth had one language and one speech” (Gen. 11:1). Even God marvelled at the effort of the people in wanting to build a tower that reaches to the heavens. God says, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them” (11:6). As incredulous as the building of that tower may sound, God was fully convinced that the people would succeed. Make certain that you eliminate those things in your life that cause disunity-unforgiveness, anger, gossip, a critical spirit, being easily offended, unrealistic expectations, and hidden agendas. Remember that when there is unity, nothing is impossible!

the dance moves were so good,

it was powerful!

2 things warmed my heart yesterday. =)

it was so exciting to know that the team that w497 sent for Makan Fiesta Challenge topped the 13 teams! i want to applause Jason, Calvin, Evelyn, Jovy and Kelly for their teamwork, creativity and hard work! w497, you are victors! =)

it was heartwarming to have a young believer sitting next to me in service, all impacted by the presence and the word of God - Rouping's mother. =) just simple, hungry faith. =)

i want to applause Rouping for sharing the love and good news of the lord with her mother over the last 2 years.
(she works over the weekend, so attending svc will be difficult. we'll try to take church to her instead, possibly mandarin bible study? if she's comfortable.) =D

HAPPY EASTER! :)

The final solution is finally over.

I really saute our church drama team and backstage crew people for their effort and sacrifice for this Easter. It is definitely not an easy thing having to rush to and fro from JW to Expo to perform and they performed so well!

I felt so touched by it every single time i watch it :)

Our drama production was featured on The Straits Time on Friday.

FROM theatrical drama to a solemn candle-lit procession, Christians yesterday commemorated the death of Jesus Christ on Good Friday.

The different styles marked the diversity of local churches here, from mega-churches to smaller, community parishes.

Bethesda Cathedral, Trinity Christian Centre and City Harvest Church, with more than 34,000 followers, yesterday staged large-scale productions centred on the theme of love and forgiveness.

At the Singapore Expo last evening, City Harvest Church, a charismatic church, staged The Final Solution, a drama about Jesus' crucifixion, with the help of 150 volunteers who worked as actors, ushers and costume-makers.

More than 8,000 church-goers filled the hall, wired with giant LCD screens, cameras and a surround-sound system.

The free performance is expected to draw more than 50,000 people over the Easter weekend.

The high-energy production was in contrast to a more sombre ceremony taking place downtown.

At Singapore's oldest Roman Catholic Church in Victoria Street, parishioners re-enacted a centuries-old Portuguese Good Friday ritual - the removal of Christ's body from the cross after the crucifixion.

St Joseph's Church, which was built in 1912, is said to have been founded by Portuguese settlers between 1851 and 1853.

Last night, more than 4,000 people attended the church's ceremony.

A little prayer for Sun..

SUN IN HOSPITAL

Many of you have heard that my wife, Sun, had been sick for the last two weeks.

Since early February, Sun had been feeling nauseous and sick in her stomach. At first, she passed it off as being perhaps a viral attack or food poisoning. But as the weeks passed and the symptoms persisted, her regular LA physician, Dr. Sugerman, advised her to see Dr. Feldman (gastro-enterologist), Dr. Fine (internal medicine) and Dr. Philips, a director at Cedars-Sinai Hospital at Beverly Hills.

When Sun was a little girl, she had a severe case of appendicitis and her appendix was removed. As the injured tissues tried to seal themselves back, tissues that should have been separated started to adhere to one another, causing “adhesions.” The adhesions prevented the organs from moving freely, causing them to become twisted or pulled from their normal positions. (Apparently, more than 90% of patients develop adhesions following open abdominal surgery.)

When Sun was a teenager, she had an operation on the same area of the appendectomy to remove her adhesions, which explains her “famous” scar across her flat tummy.

This time, after a series of tests, Dr. Philips discovered that there were adhesions again. They were in the small intestines, twisting the latter around and obstructing the flow of food into the digestive tract. On March 3 (Tue), Sun was admitted to Cedars-Sinai for a laparoscopic surgery, a keyhole procedure, to remove the adhesions. She was discharged after two days and was expected to go back to the recording studio within 10 days or so.

However, a week later, on the night of March 10 (Tue), Sun felt pain in her abdomen and fainted in the bathroom. She then vomited and the pain became very severe. She was readmitted to the hospital and they started doing tests on her. By March 13 (Fri) morning, her stomach was very bloated and the level of pain had increased to 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. X-ray results showed obstruction again in the stomach. The adhesions had relapsed. By now, her stomach was swollen like that of a 5-month pregnant woman. Dr. Philips rushed for an emergency abdominal surgery to remove the adhesions.

Sun was in surgery for 6 hours. When she came out of the OR, she was totally worn out. There were many tubes going into her body, administering fluids, painkillers and antibiotics. The worst was a plastic tube, 1 meter in length and 1 centimeter in diameter, that had to go through her nose into her stomach to drain out all the liquid waste. (See the photo below.)

That tube caused tremendous pain and built up lots of phlegm. Sun had to cough out the phlegm to prevent pneumonia, the inflammation of the lungs. But each time she coughed the phlegm out, her stomach convulsed in pain. She could hardly move a few inches without the tube hurting the walls of her organs. The fact that it went through her throat gave her a severe sore there. But to protect her vocal chords, the doctor couldn’t prescribe her painkillers for sore throat. Because of all the pain, Sun hardly slept more than an hour at a stretch for the next few days.

Meanwhile, due to the trauma of the operation, the intestines were “asleep.” So, every couple of hours, Sun had to walk around the ward (with all the tubes attached) to “wake up” her bowels. Besides that, she had to grapple with an on-and-off fever. It was a heart-wrenching experience for me to see her in such agony, and yet so determined to get well.

By March 17 (Tue), her intestines began to “wake up” and function again. Within the next 24 hours, all her tubes were removed. The doctors were very pleased with the speed of her recovery. (All her physical fitness training in the past helped!)

Sun is still not totally out of the woods yet. The stomach is still mildly bloated and the pain is still there, although much less intense. She is still recuperating in hospital. For the next few days, she is under close supervision to see if the adhesions will regroup and reform again. The doctors won’t discharge her until all the intestines have fallen into their rightful positions.

Thanks for all your love and prayers. I know that many of you are praying for her speedy and total recovery. Obviously, her US album launch in the summer is delayed by a couple of months. But the priority now is to get her back on her feet in good health.

i enjoyed the first half of the movie tremendously.
like benjamin button,
arent we always seeking love and acceptance?
we see ourselves in this character.
therapuetic.

towards middle age,
all he ever wanted, he began to have...
love, and the freedom to experience life...
made full use of them he certainly did.

i wondered what else he did with his life without daisy.
besides going to see all the world,
did he wallow in grief most of the time?
or did he spend his time being a blessing to other people?
i hope he did the second.
then, that's my benjamin button!

a life well-lived is one that has found his identity and has lived each day making the world a slightly better place for others.

what we do for ourselves die with us;
but what we do for others goes on eternally.

zippers are fast.
but it is buttons that have stood the test of time.
every formal shirt today has buttons.

not all that glitter is gold.
we look deep within,

Little Girl's Prayer

One night I had worked hard to help a mother in the labor ward; but in spite of all we could do she died leaving us with a tiny premature baby and a crying two-year-old daughter. We would have difficulty keeping the baby alive, as we had no incubator (we had no electricity to run an incubator) and no special feeding facilities.Although we lived on the equator, nights were often chilly with treacherous drafts. One student midwife went for the box we had for such babies and the cotton wool the baby would be wrapped in. Another went to stoke up the fire and fill a hot water bottle. She came back shortly in distress to tell me that in filling the bottle, it had burst. Rubber perishes easily in tropical climates."And it is our last hot water bottle!" she exclaimed.As in the West it is no good crying over spilled milk, so in Central Africa it might be considered no good crying over burst water bottles. They do not grow on trees, and there are no drugstores down forest pathways."All right," I said, "Put the baby as near the fire as you safely can, sleep between the baby and the door to keep it free from drafts. Your job is to keep the baby warm."The following noon, as I did most days, I went to have prayers with any of the orphanage children who chose to gather with me. I gave the youngsters various suggestions of things to pray about and told them about the tiny baby. I explained our problem about keeping the baby warm enough, mentioning the hot water bottle. The baby could so easily die if it got chills. I also told them of the two-year-old sister, crying because her mother had died.

During the prayer time, one ten-year-old girl, Ruth, prayed with the usual blunt conciseness of our African children. "Please, God," she prayed, "send us a water bottle. It'll be no good tomorrow, God, as the baby'll be dead, so please send it this afternoon." While I gasped inwardly at the audacity of the prayer, she added by way of corollary, "And while You are about it, would You please send a dolly for the little girl so she'll know You really love her."As often with children's prayers, I was put on the spot. Could I honestly say, "Amen?" I just did not believe that God could do this. Oh, yes, I know that He can do everything. The Bible says so. But there are limits, aren't there? The only way God could answer this particular prayer would be by sending me a parcel from the homeland. I had been in Africa for almost four years at that time, and I had never, ever received a parcel from home. Anyway, if anyone did send me a parcel, who would put in a hot water bottle? I lived on the equator!Halfway through the afternoon, while I was teaching in the nurses' training school, a message was sent that there was a car at my front door. By the time I reached home, the car had gone, but there, on the verandah, was a large twenty-two pound parcel! I felt tears pricking my eyes. I could not open the parcel alone, so I sent for the orphanage children. Together we pulled off the string, carefully undoing each knot. We folded the paper, taking care not to tear it unduly. Excitement was mounting. Some thirty or forty pairs of eyes were focused on the large cardboard box. From the top, I lifted out brightly colored, knitted jerseys. Eyes sparkled as I gave them out. Then there were the knitted bandages for the leprosy patients, and the children looked a little bored. Then came a box of mixed raisins and sultanas -- that would make a nice batch of buns for the weekend. Then, as I put my hand in again, I felt the... could it really be? I grasped it and pulled it out -- yes! A brand-new, rubber hot water bottle! I cried.

I had not asked God to send it; I had not truly believed that He could. Ruth was in the front row of the children. She rushed forward, crying out, "If God has sent the bottle, He must have sent the dolly, too!" Rummaging down to the bottom of the box, she pulled out the small, beautifully dressed dolly. Her eyes shone! She had never doubted!Looking up at me, she asked, "Can I go over with you, Mummy, and give this dolly to that little girl, so she'll know that Jesus really loves her?" That parcel had been on the way for five whole months! Packed up by my former Sunday school class, whose leader had heard and obeyed God's prompting to send a hot water bottle, even to the equator. And one of the girls had put in a dolly for an African child -- five months before -- in answer to the believing prayer of a ten-year-old to bring it "that afternoon.""Before they call, I will answer!" Isaiah 65:24.*Helen Roseveare, a doctor missionary from England to Zaire, Africa, told this as it happened to her in Africa. She told it in her testimony on a Wednesday night at Thomas Road Baptist Church. The following Wednesday night Jerry Falwell, choked up, said, "I almost feel guilty for standing in the pulpit after the one who spoke here last week."

i remembered typing this in my blog last year :

"I am God's little girl"

I asked God in my room today. "God i wonder where do you stand in my room? I know You are here. Are You standing near to the window beside the fan, or sitting beside me on my bed? And if You're sitting on my bed, are You on my left, right or infront of me? How i wish i can see You face to face right now. :)"
Thats what i asked God, sounds like a little girl's question.
I told God i want to be His little girl and abide childlike faith.

I realised something that is so precious in the sight of God, our 'childlike and simple faith' is one thing that pleases God the most :)

A special PM..

As i stepped into the church building this morning i felt something different in the atmosphere...

Finally we have come to the last day of the daily prayer meetings and today is all the more special because of the word 'sacrifice'.

A sacrifice of sleep, time and finances over the past few days and with the accumulation of it came this special feeling today at the morning prayer meeting.

The spirit of prayer and faith was so tangible. The congregation just roared in the spirit. I realised something.. Prayer is fun!

I recall writing this in one of my earlier pieces last year in what an awesome privilege..

"How do we treat a service, bible study or conference? Do we see it as a common commodity or a precious privilege? How hungry are we for the Word and His presence? How much do we desire to be in the house of God?
Friends, it’s such an awesome privilege to be able to stand here on holy ground and we are so blessed that we are here in Singapore. If you have read the book entitled The Heavenly Man, you will see how the believers have to risk arrest and prosecution in China just to attend the house church! If we compare ourselves with the Chinese believers, we will see that we still have a long way to go. What do we have to worry about? School, work and family? But don’t the Chinese believers have the same concerns? Thank God we have the freedom of worship and the freedom of choice here in Singapore. But with that freedom comes the responsibility to choose wisely.
What do you see? A common commodity or a precious privilege? Let’s make this choice wisely while we’re still young before life limits our choices a few years down the road."

Friends, with one last prayer meeting to go later in the evening and a church wide pm tomorrow before service, just what do we stand for? Will you be there?

I'm having the same feeling again.. i feel so proud of you guys..

When i see the attendance rate of our members going for the prayer meetings compared to other cells, i feel so proud of you guys.
When i see how our members still pull themselves to church early in the morning to attend the prayer meeting despite their tiredness, i feel so proud of you guys.
When i see how our members set their priorities right and not go drinking or whatsoever the night before just so that they can attend the prayer meeting in the morning, i feel so proud of you guys.

Seriously, of all the things that we can be proud of, I'm even more proud of God, of what He has done in our lives.

Prayer changes things. And i pray that we will be strong in prayer, worship and the word.

Prayer meetings are the most exciting time of the year. Sometimes if we ask ourselves if we want to be history makers and world shakers and if our answer happens to be a 'yes', then we must avail ourselves to attend the prayer meetings. Because prayer changes things. And by praying, you are there to make history and shake this world, all before it manifest physically!! (:

I recall the days when i was in the army and if i hear of news that there will be prayer meetings during the weekdays, i would be so disappointed because i couldn't attend it.

I recall the days where our church used to have overnight prayer meetings and i would be so excited and eager to attend it whenever there's one because it would be a life changing experience.

Friends, remember that every prayer is life changing. Every prayer, no matter how simple it may be, is simply powerful. The devil is afraid of our prayers. So with 2 days left, will we come together and terrify the devil some more?

(p.s. I've been attending the morning and evening prayer meetings everyday and i can say that the atmosphere is getting better and better. When i stepped into jw building today i could feel the spirit of prayer so strongly. I prayed with ease for the whole session and even stayed back after the meeting to pray some more because the presence was so thick and strong. Friends, it's a privilege to be able to have the freedom to attend prayer meetings. Will you honor that privilege which God has given you today?)

here are the short stories 4 tonight i hope if i post daily. someday there wil b somebody eager to come online to read it.

i shorten this story by a lot so that the gist is there or else most of the story is quite long. today i will share a bit more i guess.

There was once a retired judge,A, who believe love is the greatest power. thus he become a hugger after he retired. therefore he was duped the "hugging judge". One day this judge created a a little red heart sticker and offer this to people 4 a hugs. he was on national TV before because of this action of his. but one day his friend,B, a clown ask him to accompany her down to a home for the disabled to help out. he took his sticker and went ahead with it without thinking. he have never hugged people who are terminally ill or retarded before so he struggle at the start but soon it become easier. After several hours in the home they came to the last ward. within the last ward was 34 of the worst cases he have ever seen. it was so grim it took his heart away. But out of commitment they start to work their way around the ward followly closely by the medical staff. Finally he came to the last person, C. C was wearing a big white bib which he was drooling on. A look at him and say to his friend, " let go, there is no way we can reach thru to this person." B replied "c'mon, A he a fellow human being, too, isn't he?" then B put a funny balloon hat on his head. A took out a sticker place it on him and with a deep breathe, leaned down and gave C a hug.

All of a sudden C started squealing. some of the patient started to clang thing together. A was shock and approach the medical staff for explanation only to find all of them crying. So A ask the head nurse, " what going on?"

the amazing truth was that C have never smile in 23 years. If a hug can make a person who have never smile for 23 years smile, how much could it do to hug someone who have been hurt recently or suffering in silence inside. Come on guys i hope thru this story it inspire us to hug anyone whom we feel we could heal be it a guy or a gal. put on a smile, don't b fake and do it with full sincerity. they will see your light. what is a hugs, it helps the immune system to cure depression, reduces stress and induces sleep. it has no unpleasant side effect. Jesus once say it better to give then to receive. i believe if Jesus return. the first thing he would want to do is to hugs us real tightly and tell us how much he love us.(story adapted fr chicken soup for the soul)

If i think i was great or courageous enough. I would have been greatly humble by what one small kid have done that ashamed me greatly.

There was once a little gal call A, she was suffering fr a rare and serious disease. Her only chance of recovery is the blood transfusion from her 5 year old brother, who have miraculously survived the disease and developed the antibodies against it.The doctor explain the situation to her little brother and ask if he would be willing to give his blood to her sister. He hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breathe and saying, " Yes, I'll do it if it will save A."

"As the transfusion progressed, he lay in a bed next to his sister and smiled,seeing the color returning to her cheeks. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, " will i start to die right away?"

Being young the boy misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give her sister all his blood. (Adapted from the chicken soup for the soul)

as i was reading all this story, the Lord prompt me to hear the song here i am to worship. A bit no link but it make me remember there was once someone 2000 years ago that have done this for me, one without transgression, one so holy that i am not worthy enough to speak his name.

How have our life changes others, even if we have to do it like the starfish thrower, one starfish by one starfish. where is our first starfish, have we ever wonder.

First short story

anyway if i can, i wil try to entertain everyone wif a short story every nite.

tonight story goes like this once upon a time.
alright i skip that crap.

In1889, a school teacher told a ten-year old boy," you will never amount to very much." That boy was Albert Einstein. In 1954, a music manager told a young singer, "You ought to go back to driving a truck." That singer was Elvis Presley. In 1962, a record company told a group of singers, " We don't like your sound.. Groups with guitars are definitely on their way out." They say that to the Beatles.
A young man once received a letter from a lawyer stating that his grandmother had left him an inheritance. To his astonishment, it was $50,000 plus "my bible and all it contains."

The youth was delighted to receive the money. However, he knew what the Bible contained and because he wasn't into religion he didn't bother to open it. Instead he put it on a high shelf.

He gambled the $50,000, and over the next fifty years he lived as a pauper, scraping for every meal. Finally he became so destitute, he had to move in with his relatives.

When he cleaned out his room, he reach up to get the dusty Bible from the shelf. AS he took it down, his trembling hands dropped it onto the floor, flinging it open to reveal a $100 bill between every page.

The man had lived as a pauper, simply because of his prejudice. He thought he knew what the Bible " contained."

looking at this story i was wondering how many page a bible have. Mine have around 1720 pages . If i multiply that by 100. i would haf $172 000. Never doubt what God have in plan for you through the Bible. Pick it up fr your nearest table and start reading. LOLS

haha.. so you see.. The Bible tells us to be in this world but not of the world.. But sometimes after being fully in thisworld for 2 years, it's good to be completely out-of-this-world.

WOW w497!
time flies and we are already 3 months old as a cell group!
I am glad i had been here to witness all the wonderful experiences we had together these 3 months and lets continue to shake the world together with the new ones who are gonna join us in no time!

WOW, it has been a wonderful and interesting 3 months.
look at all the events we had gone through and how much we had changed!

In these 3 months,
-W260 multiplied and W497 was born!
-We had Gwen baptised!
-We celebrated Estelle birthday!
-We had our 1st ever CG meeting at Kamy's place!
-We had a life-changing experience over at the Asia Conference!
-We saw Gwen fly on the opening night of AC!
-We went for our first CG outing @ sentosa!
-We had Ben who joined Children Church as his ministry!
-We celebrated Kamy's 21st birthday!
-We celebrated Kelvin's 20th birthday!
-We celebrated Jason's ORD!
-We celebrated Christmas and we had a great Christmas Party with many new friends watching MyHope!
-We had delicious cookies and teacakes made by Jovy and Kaiting during Christmas!
-We had our mini W497 thanksgiving @ JW rooftop!
-We attended 'MTV AWARDS' and we were the STARS!
-We ended the year 2008 with a BIG BANG! Don't WE?
-We crossed year 2008 and entered 2009 with new dreams and new goals!
-We celebrated CNY and we had many breakthrough ang bao!
-We had Jacob scoring his best ever result in Uni and shining for God!
-We had Calvin and Spark joined in this wonderful family of God!
-We had our pretty and wonderful CGL Estelle got officially into the teaching world!
-We celebrated ZhuangMian's birthday over at ECP!
-We had Zhuang Mian transferred to an adult CG!
-We celebrated Kaiting's birthday!
-We attended our very own LAST SVR AT JW on the 24th January 2008!
-We had our second CGM of the year over at Evelyn's place just now!
-We are GOING BACK TO EXPO on the 1 Feb 2009 which is TOMORROW!

WOW! look at what God has been doing in our midst in just the short 3 months!
Indeed, God is such a wonderful and faithful God and we must all remember to give thanks to Him even in the little things!
i hope i didn't miss out any, but i am sure there are ALOT MORE wonderful stuff God has done in ur life for the past 2008 and present 2009! i really look forward to what God had instored for each and every single one of us this 2009!

EVERYBODY! I believe we are going to grow corperately as w497 and also indivivally as our own this year.
thank you everyone for being so flexible and sacrificial towards moving back to EXPO.
Although there are many things which we need to re-adapt and adjust to, but as long as we honor God and put Him 1st in our life, He will never ever shortchange us but we wil definitely have a life more abundant!
GUYS, we will GROW BIGGER AND LARGER and experience God like never before this yeaR!

there come upon a time in life,
we sit ourselves down and wonder what it is all for.

i'm a purpose-driven person.
i feel all lost when i dono the reason for what im doing.

where to seek and know the purpose?
no where better than in God.

nothing else really matters,
my Creator, my Saviour is He.

i wanna stick close to my God,
and always know the purpose of each step of my life.

today, during quiet time, God reminded me,

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and lean not on your own understanding,

While i was standing during the start of service today i felt something...
Felt so proud of you guys..

Proud of how you guys met up before service to come to church together..
Proud of how you guys came early to queue up for the seats..
Proud of how most of you guys reached way before the service started..
Proud of how you guys jumped up and down during praise..
Proud of how you guys lifted up your hands during worship..
Proud of how you guys listened attentively during the sermon...

I recalled writing this in one of my messages last year titled Dawn of a New Era..

"There are no dreams that are too big or visions that are too wild. Remember, the limits of the possible can only be defined by going beyond them into the impossible. This is the most exciting time of change because we can actually set the pace and the destination of this journey.
Let this be a journey where the young can find their purpose in life and where the matured ones can find their calling in God. Let this cell be a dream centre. Let this be a place where love is the rule of thumb. Let this be a place where people can fail and still get up on their feet. Let this be a place where we learn that “with God all things are possible”.
The future belongs to those who dare pursue it. Break free from the shadow of the past. Break out into your journey. Breakthrough into the power and creativity of God. Forget the past, focus on the future. This is the dawn of a new era."

I'm so glad I'm part of this team. I'm not just referring to this great church, but I'm also referring to this wonderful cell. I see hope in this cell. W497, you are more than the difference maker, you are the difference that we see. It wouldn't be possible without you. Forget about Egypt, we're stepping into our promise land.

Hey CG!

Wanna share a song here with you guys. It is not a gospel song but it is a very nice and touching song. It kind of set me off thinking alot of things after hearing the song.

This song is sang by '梁文音'. She is a very fervent Christian and she became popular after taking part in the Taiwan singing competition call '超级星光大道'.

Even though she did not win the competition she was given a recording contract and thus she just released her 1st ablum a month ago.

Personally, i think she is really such an anointed singer..

She doesn't have a complete family because both her parents passed away when she was at a young.

I guess it was because of her background that caused her to be so broken..
